The Department of Medical Education is searching for an experienced teacher of anatomy to direct, coordinate, and teach anatomy, histology, and embryology to medical and physician assistant students. The hire will be in the non-tenure track title of Clinical Professor. Clinical Professors are experienced practitioners or teachers who hold a full-time, non-tenure track position with a maximum appointment period of seven years, subject to annual reappointment. Successful candidates will also have experience and a demonstrated commitment to building an equitable and diverse scholarly and learning environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral-level degree in a relevant discipline (anatomy, histology, and embryology).
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and appropriate advanced degree, professional licensure, registration, certification, or such other qualifications as may be necessary for the satisfactory performance of his/her duties. Also, must have demonstrated satisfactory qualities of personality and character, a record of achievements in his/her profession or field of expertise, and a willingness to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates must have an M.D. or PhD. degree, and at least 3 years of teaching experience is preferred. A candidate with dissection-based gross anatomy training and teaching experience or general surgery experience is preferred.
Salary range: $140,000 - $150,000
